Executive moves: Transplace, Sunteck and Locus Traxx

Transplace appoints head of new consulting practice, while Sunteck names CIO and Locus Traxx hires EMEA market manager.

   Brooks Bentz was named president of Transplace Consulting Services, a new practice at Transplace. Bentz has more than four decades of transportation and logistics experience. Prior to joining Transplace, he spent 21 years with Andersen Consulting/Accenture, where he was a managing director in supply chain management. He also previously served as a vice president of intermodal for Burlington Northern Railroad, president and CEO of Ameritrans Corp., CEO of Trans-Star Trucking, and general manager of intermodal for Boston & Maine Railroad.

   Sunteck has hired Sean Clancy as its chief information officer. Clancy brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based logistics firm. Prior to joining Sunteck, he was vice president of global information systems for Kuehne + Nagel.

   Jan-Willem Schrijver has been appointed managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Belgium-based Locus Traxx, a company specializing in the safe transport of food in trucks and ocean containers. He has previously held management positions at Royal Ahold’s subsidiary Deli XL, Warehousing and Foodservice Logistics, and Vroegop Windig.
