Jacksonville port to survey shippers
The Port of Jacksonville is seeking input from southeastern international shippers to help the port adapt to market needs as it gets more heavily involved in Asia trades and other global shipping services.
The port has put out an appeal to manufacturers, distributors and suppliers in the U.S. Southeast to take a survey that will help the port better understand the kinds of companies that will be shipping through Jacksonville, and the transportation and logistics services these companies need and expect from a port and its tenant carriers.
Companies with questions about the survey have been asked to call Joshua 'JR' Rodriggs, the port's manager of Latin American and intermodal sales, at (904) 357-3059. The survey is available online at the port Web site, www.jaxport.com.
