Hapag-Lloyd said it has created a computer program that shippers can use to calculate the emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM10) resulting from transport of their goods.
The German container shipping company said its “EcoCalc” tool covers emissions of not only the ocean leg, but also the emissions created onshore during an intermodal move.
It can be found here.
