Denver chassis pool expands
Consolidated Chassis Management said the Denver Consolidated Chassis Pool in Denver will be expanded to cover the BNSF Railway Co. facility on July 1.
The pool is the first in an emerging national program establishing chassis pools at port and inland intermodal locations based on a cooperative pool model developed by the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association Inc.
The pool began operations at the Union Pacific Railroad's intermodal rail terminal in December. The pool is owned by a subsidiary of Consolidated Chassis Management and is managed by Flexi-Van Leasing Inc. It comprises 16 participating ocean carriers and is open to any international carrier or their agents using the Denver BNSF or UP terminals.
