Sea Star adjusts intermodal fuel charges
Sea Star Line said it has seen upward pressures in inland intermodal costs in its latest four-week review period, leading to a minor increase in the intermodal fuel charge for its Puerto Rico trade services effective February 4.
'Our latest review for the four-week period ending January 7, 2007 shows an up-tick for truck and rail, as well as the corresponding payments to our intermodal service providers,' a Sea Star statement said.
For local cargo in Jacksonville, the IFC will increase to $43, from $42. For local Port Everglades cargo, the charge will increase to $44, from $43. For other Florida cargo to either of the Sea Star ports, the IFC will remain at $110.
