The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said last week it is raising U.S. export rates to Asia from March 1.
The increases are $50 per 20-foot container and $100 per 40-foot container from U.S. West Coast ports; $100 per 20-foot container and $150 per 40-foot container from U.S. East or Gulf coast ports; and $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container for intermodal moves via any U.S. port.
The increases affect all commodities except for refrigerated shipments.
