DHL Global Forwarding will provide breakbulk logistics services to a large mine in the African nation.
DHL Global Forwarding has won a three-year contract to support logistics activity for the Ambatovy joint venture mining operation in Madagascar.
The air and ocean transportation intermediary’s project cargo team will provide import customs clearance for airfreight shipments of mining spare parts and delivery to the mine site.
DHL said it will also consolidate mining equipment from suppliers at its global hubs in Houston, Montreal, Antwerp, Johannesburg and Shanghai and arrange transport to the Ambatovy mine as needed.
