Mack joins Columbia Group

He will be responsible for seeking out business opportunities and synergies at the barge operator Columbia Coastal and its sister companies. Liberty Corner, N.J.-based Columbia Coastal operates container barges between nine ports along the U.S. East Coast, and recently started up a new service between New York and Portland, Maine.
Sister companies include trucking company Columbia Intermodal and Columbia Container Services, which provides support services such as container storage, maintenance and repair.
Mack has more than 25 years of experience in the maritime and logistics industries, including stints at Sea-Land Service, American President Lines, Panalpina, and most recently at Hanjin Logistics where he was vice president sales and marketing for the North America logistics group.
In addition to container barges, Columbia offers complete project cargo and government-military cargo services. Service to Freeport, Bahamas or Cuba is available on inducement.
