MOL, Delmas to begin new Asia/East Africa service
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Delmas will introduce a new joint service linking Asia and East Africa, starting April 24.
The liner carriers said the new service is part of an existing joint service provided together with P&O Nedlloyd. The service will be operated with five 700-TEU geared vessels, and will provide a fixed-day weekly service between Asia and East Africa.
The new service will call at Port Kelang, Malaysia; Singapore; Colombo; Male, Maldives; Mombasa, Kenya; Tanga and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania; and then back to Mahe, Colombo and Port Kelang. Mahe will be served through bi-weekly calls, the liner carriers said.
