TransRisk appoints Glenn S. Goldberg to its Board of Advisors

Formerly led McGraw-Hill Financial’s Commodities and Commercial Markets Division

 

Glenn S. Goldberg, president of GSG Advisory Services, has joined the TransRisk LLC Board of Advisors. TransRisk builds financial instruments that provide price discovery, transparency and demand balance for the trucking industry.

Mr. Goldberg previously spent 25 years in leadership roles at McGraw-Hill Financial, including eight years as President of the Commodities and Commercial Markets Division, which included market leading data and business information franchises Platts, J.D. Power and McGraw-Hill Construction. Under his leadership, the Division transformed its product portfolio, global position and dramatically improved financial performance. Previously, he served as head of corporate affairs and chief of staff to The McGraw-Hill Companies Chairman and CEO, Terry McGraw.

Mr. Goldberg also spent eight years at The McGraw-Hill Companies’ Standard & Poor’s unit as head of Strategic Planning, where he led several acquisitions and joint ventures. He began his career in the public sector working for the U.S. Congress and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He co-authored a book on U.S. government policy and business activity in South Africa during the apartheid era. Glenn currently heads GSG Advisory Services, which provides strategic and operational consulting to publicly and privately owned companies in business information and related industries.
