Plains All American’s Canadian unit buys trucking assets

Plains All American Pipeline said its subsidiary Plains Marketing Canada will buy the Canadian trucking assets of Flint Hill Resources for an undisclosed amount.

W. David Duckett, president of Plains Marketing Canada, said in a statement Tuesday that the acquisition will help the company expands its “crude oil marketing footprint in Western Canada.”

The trucking assets comprise a fleet of more than 50 crude oil and condensate trailers that operate in crude oil producing areas in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The deal with Flint Hills Resources is expected to close by late October.

Plains Marketing Canada is a midstream crude oil and natural gas liquids company that combines transportation, gathering, terminal and storage assets.
