SHIPLOGIX JOINS COMMERCE ONE
ShipLogix, an online logistics software services provider based in Ohio, has signed an agreement with business-to-business marketplace developer Commerce One Inc. to provide online transportation management tools to Commerce One users.
Commerce One, considered a leading B2B developer along side Oracle, i2 Technologies, IBM and others, has been building a suite of business services under the brand name Commerce One.net to broaden the functionality if its B2B sites. Commerce One has signed agreements with companies active in logistics, financial services, supply chain management, customer service, human resources and collaboration. The deal with ShipLogix follows similar agreements with Logistics.com and clickLogistics in the logistics management space.
ShipLogix says its software allows shippers, carriers and third-party providers to conduct business online in real time. Tools are designed to automate request for quotes, routing, tracking, rating, optimization, scheduling, landed cost, invoicing and reporting.
