U-Freight opens third Hong Kong facility
U-Freight said Monday it has opened its third logistics facility in Hong Kong.
Located in Yuen Long, close to the fourth border crossing between the Special Administrative Region and the People's Republic of China, it will be operated by wholly owned subsidiary, U-Freight Logistics. The new 60,000-square-foot facility can be customized and modified to individual customer requirements, the company said.
The primary function of the warehouse is to provide cross-docking logistics services and temperature-controlled storage and distribution facilities, as well as container free station services for ocean freight handling and processing.
'We are particularly keen to attract retail customers as we can provide a full service pick-and-pack operation from the point of origin to the final destination, with very competitive rates,' said Simon Wong, chief executive officer of the U-Freight Group, in a statement. 'Hong Kong is a retail paradise in close proximity to most of the vendors and suppliers in China.'
