Envirotainer provides Air China Cargo cold boxes

Envirotainer, a provider of temperature-controlled air cargo containers, has signed a global master lease contract with Air China Cargo.

   Envirotainer, a provider of temperature-controlled air cargo containers, has signed a global master lease contract with Air China Cargo. 
   This the first contract for Envirotainer with a China-based airline. 
   Air China Cargo plans to roll out a cold chain product this spring with further network expansion planned in 2016 based on market demand. The airline has identified five stations – Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Frankfurt and Geneva – as launch points in its first phase of implementation. 
   “With the extensive expertise and global presence Envirotainer has in the active cold chain, this allows us to ensure that temperature-sensitive shipments are just as effective and safe as when they left the production line,” said Ray Lo, Air China Cargo’s vice president of service and operations, in a statement.
   A major focus of this new Air China Cargo service is on bio-pharma product shippers.    
   As part of its continued network expansion, Envirotainer opened a new service station in Shanghai in November 2015 to support the pharmaceuticals industry’s growth in China.
