Commerce Deputy Undersecretary for International Trade Ken Hyatt will lead eight U.S. renewable energy companies on a trade mission to Mexico City May 16-19.
Mexico has stepped up efforts to develop its renewable energy sector.
The U.S. companies taking part in the trade mission include 8minuteenergy Renewables of Folsom, Calif.; Absaroka Energy of Bozeman, Mont.; Burns and McDonnell Engineering Co. of Kansas City, Mo.; Conexer of The Woodlands, Texas; First Solar of Tempe, Ariz.; Numark Associates of Washington, D.C.; SolarReserve of Santa Monica, Calif.; and SolarWorld Americas of Hillsboro, Ore.
The delegation members will participate in meetings and roundtables with officials from the Mexican government and power sector, potential buyers and commercial partners, the Commerce Department said.
