PEAK wraps up Catalyst acquisition

PEAK Technologies has completed its acquisition of supply chain service provider Catalyst from CDC Global Services.
Catalyst is a highly-specialized SAP services partner and focuses most of its work on the implementation and integration of SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) offerings. The company also acts as a specialist for other services and applications from SAP, including warehouse and extended warehouse management, task and resource management, and transportation management.
PEAK Chief Executive Officer Ross Young said the acquisition should be viewed as a continued commitment to working with SAP SCM and a move to add related functions and supports to what it offers customers that want to use SAP throughout their supply chain.
The purchase not only gives PEAK a solid SAP platform in new areas, but allows it to gain SAP-related talent and consultants. PEAK said it will initially add several Catalyst-built applications to its offerings including the Yard Management Drag and Drop and Cross Carrier Parcel Integration service.
Jim Ferencik, vice president of global services at Catalyst, said Catalyst’s operations will be able to take advantage of PEAK’s existing footpring in North American and Europe.
PEAK is a systems integrator of supply chain automation, inventory management, and mobility services. Its portfolio consists largely of business process consulting, SAP SCM and mobility integration, and life-cycle support services. – Geoff Whiting
