Executive Moves: Panalpina, Port Freeport and Bouchard Transportation

Panalpina names new COO and CIO, while Port Freeport commission elects new officers and Bouchard Transportation appoints VP.

   Panalpina has promoted Andy Weber to chief operating officer, effective July 1. Weber is a 30-year forwarding industry veteran, who joined Panalpina as global head of operations in January. The company also announced that Ralf Morawietz will become chief information officer. He takes over from Rod Angwin, who will leave the company for personal reasons. Morawietz has previously held IT management positions at Deutsche Post and Kuehne + Nagel.
 
   Port Freeport’s Board of Commissioners has elected Ravi Singhania as chairman and Bill Terry as vice chairman. Other elected positions include Paul Kresta as port commission secretary, Rudy Santos as port commission assistant secretary, and Shane Pirtle and John Hoss as port commissioners.

   Bouchard Transportation Co. has appointed Brendan J. Bouchard as vice president of sales and operations. He has worked in various roles at the family-owned tanker operator prior to this appointment.
