essDOCS purchases TridentGLOBAL

Malta-based paperless solutions provider essDOCS has now acquired TridentGLOBAL after recently announcing its acquisition of eCertify just last month.

   Malta-based paperless solutions provider essDOCS has acquired TridentGLOBAL, a trade and logistics solutions provider based in Adelaide, Australia, the companies said Wednesday.
   Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
   essDOCS’ CargoDocs platform digitizes and automates paper-heavy trade operations, finance and logistics processes through DocPrep+ and DocEx. Over 18,000 companies across 168 countries use essDOCS’ solutions.
   TridentGLOBAL, which has a customer-base across Australia and the United States, provides exporters and traders with a solution for managing international trade processes. The platform provides modules for contract management, shipment management, bookings management, compliance, document management, along with supply chain management for the metals and minerals, agribusiness, seafood and manufacturing industries.
   “With 75 people across 10 countries and four continents, we will be able to deliver TridentGLOBAL in a more local and personal way to our global customer-base,” TridentGLOBAL Founder Carman Rossi said.
   “Combining the TridentGLOBAL Export Management solution with the CargoDocs eDocs platform provides an end-to-end digital solution and a compelling offering for our existing and new customers alike,” said TridentGLOBAL Co-General Manager and Head of Sales Shaun Collins.
   In addition to acquiring TridentGLOBAL, essDOCS said last month it acquired Adelaide-based eCertify Pty Ltd, the inventor of the electronic Certificate of Origin.
