Hickerson to head Pacer truck unit
Pacer International has named intermodal industry veteran John Hickerson chairman and chief executive officer of its truck services unit Pacer Transport.
Hickerson was vice president of domestic intermodal marketing and sales for Burlington Northern Santa Fe. He also spent 22 years with the Con-Way group of companies, with stints as president and CEO of Con-Way Southern Express and as vice president and general manager of CF Truckload Services.
Pacer Transport provides specialized and heavy-haul trucking services, as well as van or trailer services. It is part of Pacer Global Logistics, the logistics arm of Pacer International.
