U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) Acting Chairman Michael A. Khouri has recently appointed Rachel Dickon to serve as the commission’s secretary and Brian Troiano to director of the Bureau of Enforcement.
Dickon began working at the FMC in 1998, serving in the Office of the Secretary and subsequently in the Office of General Counsel, Office of the Chairman, and Office of Operations as deputy director.
Troiano joined the agency in 2008 as part of the Bureau of Enforcement. Prior to his government service, he was in private law practice where he represented motor carriers before the former Interstate Commerce Commission and Surface Transportation Board.
“They are well acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of the important jobs they are assuming,” Khouri said in a statement. “The commission and the American public will benefit from their long experience in these assignments.”
