Maersk completes sale of Bridge Terminal Transport

   Maersk has completed the sale of its drayage provider Bridge Terminal Transport to Platinum Equity for an undisclosed amount.
   The Charlotte-based firm, which has a network of 1,300 owner-operators, will continue to operate under the Bridge Terminal brand. A Platinum Equity transition team has currently been put in place.
   “We are excited about the transition to new ownership, which will create new opportunities for our company, our employees and our customers,” Bridge Terminal’s chief executive officer, Hans Stig Moller, said in a statement. “BTT strives to be the best provider of trucking services in the industry and to deliver the exceptional service our customers deserve. Platinum Equity has the resources and expertise we need to help BTT achieve new levels of success.”  
   Platinum Equity also owns controlling stakes in the transportation companies MXD Group, Neovia Logistics, Active Aero and Keen Transport.
   “We have a lot of experience owning and operating transportation and logistics businesses that provide complex supply-chain solutions,” said Platinum’s Bryan Kelln said in a statement. “We understand what BTT’s customers expect and are committed to delivering the highest levels of service and dependability.”
