BURNS NAMED VP OF STRACHAN SHIPPING
Charles F. Burns has been named vice president of marketing and business
development for Strachan Shipping Agency.
Burns’ agency and marketing background includes serving as vice
president of marketing for the General Steamship Corp. He also has
experience in chartering, marine and intermodal operations, in addition to stevedoring and
terminal management
Since Strachan was purchased this past spring by H. Win Thurber III and
partner J. Schley Rutherford, the company has focused on non-liner business in addition to
providing services to large and small shipping lines.
