Finnair taps new VP of cargo, while Unicon Logistics appoints sales executives for Southern California.
Janne Tarvainen has been appointed Finnair’s vice president of cargo, effective Nov. 1. He replaces Antti Kuusenmäki, who will leave the airline after heading its cargo operation since December 2014. Tarvainen spent the past three years as head of Finnair’s operations control center.
Non-vessel-operating common carrier Unicon Logistics has appointed Peter Nithsdale and David Ho as sales executives for the Southern California region. Nithsdale started his logistics career in the United Kingdom, while Ho has worked in the Asia market. Unicon is a subsidiary of Dubai-based containership operator Simatech Group.
