EPES buys Login Logistics

All existing Login Logistics staff will be retained and Login President Steen A. Marcuslund will lead EPES International as managing director, EPES President Jason Bodford said.

   EPES Logistics Services, Inc., a third-party logistics and freight management company based out of Greensboro, N.C., has acquired Login Logistics, an international freight forwarding and logistics company based out of Charlotte, N.C.
   Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
   EPES said the acquisition will expand its geographic footprint, create a global logistics platform that offers enhanced service capabilities to all customers involved, and further its expansion in key strongholds such as the Southeastern United States.
   EPES President Jason Bodford said all existing staff will be retained and Login President Steen A. Marcuslund will lead EPES International as managing director.
   A spokesperson from EPES told American Shipper the acquisition boosts EPES’ headcount from 174 employees to 187 employees.
   “EPES Logistics is now able to provide a mature solution to our customers’ international and freight forwarding needs,” Bodford said. “This was a hole in our supply chain solution that Login Logistics was able to successfully fill.”
   Various acquisitions EPES has made over the years include:
     • Atlantic Logistics of Charlotte, N.C. in 2016;
     • Epic Logistics of Smithfield, N.C. in 2016;
     • Freight Shakers USA of Hampton, Ga. in 2013;
     • Meredith Transport of Archdale, N.C. in 2012;
     • And Cargo Masters of Charlotte, N.C. in 2012.
