Executive Moves: ICS, BNSF Logistics, Choice Logistics and HubTran

International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) appoints secretary general, BNSF Logistics and Choice Logistics both name new president, and HubTran hires vice president of sales.

   The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has appointed Guy Platten its new secretary general. Platten will assume the role in mid-2018 on a date to be confirmed later in the year, ICS said.
   In addition, the ICS has promoted current Director of Policy and External Relations Simon Bennett to the position of deputy secretary general.

   BNSF Logistics, the multi-modal third-party logistics subsidiary of Class I railroad BNSF, has named Dan Curtis president, effective immediately.
   Curtis has served as BNSF Logistics’ chief operating officer since 2014 following a three-year stints as chief financial officer.

   Third-party warehouse, inventory, and transportation management solutions provider Choice Logistics has named Matthew McKeever president.
   McKeever, who will be responsible for global operations and overall client service delivery, joined Choice in 2015 as EVP, chief financial officer and was promoted to EVP, chief operating officer in 2016.

   HubTran, a provider of back-office automation technology for transportation and factoring companies, has hired Jack Farbak as vice president of sales effective, Feb. 5, 2018.
   Prior to joining HubTran, Farbak served as senior vice president of sales for Comdata’s North America Trucking Division.
