U.S HOUSE PASSES AVIATION FUNDING BILL

U.S HOUSE PASSES AVIATION FUNDING BILL

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a five-year, $57 billion
funding bill for the Federal Aviation Administration and the Airport
Improvement Fund.
The Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (AIR21)
seeks to separate aviation funds from the general budget and to preserve
aviation taxes for industry use.
The bill more than doubles the amount of entitlement money available for
cargo airports and requires cargo airlines to install collision avoidance
systems on their aircraft.
