Echo reports strong second quarter results

Echo posts strong second quarter Chicago-based Echo Global Logistics reported strong year-over-year increases in net income, revenues and truckload volumes during the second quarter of 2016.

   Echo Global Logistics, Inc., a non-asset-based freight brokerage and transportation management services provider, posted a net income of $1.9 million, compared to a net loss of $700,000 for the second quarter of 2015, based on the company’s most recent financial statements.
   Total revenues surged 19.4 percent year-over-year for the quarter to $443.8 million.
   In addition, second quarter truckload volumes skyrocketed 60 percent from the second quarter of 2015.
   “Considering both our strong volume trends and persistently lower rates, we are updating our full year 2016 total revenue guidance to be in the range of $1.70 billion to $1.76 billion,” Echo Chief Financial Officer Kyle Sauers said.
