Logimax, a subsidiary of Friedman Corp. and an information systems provider to manufacturers and third party logistics providers, said its warehouse management system (WMS) is now available as a cloud deployment thanks to a Software-as-a-Service backbone powered by Meridian IT.
The WMS Foundation software is available with all of its existing systems modules, and the service will be hosted in Meridian IT’s data center. Meridian will manage the hardware, software, maintenance, and networking for Logimax.
Mike Parrilli, vice president of sales for Logimax, said “companies who deploy in the cloud gain significant advantages implementing as a SaaS deployment, including lower hardware, software, maintenance, and implementation costs, not to mention the cost savings related to insurance, energy, labor and operating costs.”
Logimax, based in Jacksonville, Fla., said its WMS will continue to be tailored to the distribution, manufacturing, and 3PL industries.
