LLamasoft adds office in Japan

Supply chain software developer LLamasoft has opened a new office in Tokyo with more than a dozen staff, expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The office will be managed by Misao Sasaki, chief executive officer for LLamasoft Asia.
The expansion will bring the LLamasoft supply chain design software suite including Supply Chain Guru, Transportation Guru and Data Guru to the Japanese and Asia-Pacific markets, the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company said.
“Our rapid global growth is an indicator of the demand for supply chain design solutions by organizations worldwide and Japan’s resurgent market is currently seeking the technology and expertise that LLamasoft uniquely offers,” added LLamasoft Executive Vice President Toby Brzoznowski.
Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd., one of Japan’s biggest heavy machinery manufacturers, recently selected Supply Chain Guru as the supply chain modeling solution for its steam turbine products headquarters.
LLamasoft also has overseas offices in the United Kingdom, France, Colombia, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and China.
