Trinidad and Tobago port buys Navis system
The Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago will replace its five-year-old terminal operating system for containers with Navis SPARCS N4, Navis' parent company Zebra Technologies said.
The Port of Spain said it plans to grow its container volume from 400,000 to 500,000 TEUs in the next five years, which would be difficult to achieve without the software upgrade.
The Navis system helps plan container moves, storage, labor allocation and other functions within a terminal.
