YANGMING, “K” LINE DISCUSS PACIFIC SLOTS WITH COSCO

Yangming Marine Transport and "K" Line are discussing the
possibility of
taking slots on the new "China Northeast" transpacific service of China
Ocean Shipping Co.
The new service, which starts later this month, will be run by COSCO
alone, with its own ships. Yangming and "K" Line are alliance partners with
COSCO.
Yangming said that it may charter slots on the China Northeast link, as
well as on a revised "China Southeast" transpacific service that replaces
COSCO’s former "Northeast Asia" loop.
Yangming and "K" Line currently share a total of 300 TEUs on
COSCO’s
Northeast Asia service.
COSCO, Yangming and "K" Line already share space on six Asia/U.S.
West Coast weekly services.
