CARRIERS OPPOSE CALLING FORWARDERS ‘SHIPPERS’
Following the announcement that Tom Escott, chief executive officer,
North American region at GeoLogistics will leave the company on Oct. 3, the
company
said that Bill Flynn will run the region on an interim basis while also
holding his position as group CEO and president of GeoLogistics.
The third-party logistics company did not say when a permanent successor
to Escott would be appointed. GeoLogistics said that Escott “leaves
GeoLogistics after driving successful turnaround initiatives in the
company’s Americas business unit.”
Last week, Schneider Logistics announced that it would hire Escott to
become its president. HA
