A.C.L.N. REPORTS RECORD SECOND QUARTER
A.C.L.N. Ltd. has reported an increase in net income to $17.8 million in the second quarter of 2001, up 66 percent over the same period last year. A.C.L.N. president, Aldo Labaid sited dramatic increases in volume, acceleration in demand and strong seasonal market as the causes for the
increase.
Revenue for the second quarter was $78.9 million, up 98 percent. Operating income was up 70.3 percent, to approximately $18.7 million.
For the first six months of 2001, A.C.L.N. reported an increase in net income to $31.48 million, up 62 percent over the same period of the year before. Revenue for the first six months was up 107 percent.
A.C.L.N., the U.S./Africa roll-on/roll-off niche carrier is automobile logistics service provider serving four European ports, three ports in the U.S. and fourteen ports of destination in Africa.
