Zeaborn Group acquires E.R. Schiffahrt

The German ocean shipping company has completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the business shares in E.R. Schiffahrt GmbH & Cie. KG.

   German ocean shipping company Zeaborn Group has completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the business shares in E.R. Schiffahrt GmbH & Cie. KG.
   Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
   With the takeover of E.R. Schiffahrt, the shipping fleet under commercial and technical management by Zeaborn has been expanded by 61 containerships and 20 bulk carriers to more than 165 vessels.
   “With this fleet expansion, we can further improve both quality and quantity of our products and services to the benefit of our customers,” said Ove Meyer and Jan-Hendrik Többe, Zeaborn’s managing partners, in a joint statement. “Our approach remains the same: we are an integrated shipping company that is open for partnerships and acquisitions.”
