Yusen expands in Sydney

Yusen Logistics Australia has opened its sixth warehouse in Sydney.

   Yusen Logistics Australia this month opened its sixth warehouse in Sydney. 
   The 134,548-square-foot facility, which will be used by a large U.S. retailer, will comprise 18,500 pallet positions. The cost of the warehouse is in excess of $1.65 million (AUD $2 million) and will employ another 25 staff, the company said without disclosing the name of the retailer.
   Japan-based Yusen Logistics, which has operated in Australia for more than 25 years and has 12 offices throughout the country with 420 staff, generated revenues of more than $100 million (AUD $125 million) in 2014 from its Australian business.
