FourKites partners with Mexican 3PL

The logistics software provider has formed a partnership with Vitti Logistics to provide the third-party logistics provider’s customers with real-time freight tracking across Mexico.

Logistics software provider FourKites struck a deal with Mexico-based Vitti Logistics to provide the third-party logistics provider’s customers with real-time freight tracking across Mexico.
The partnership marks a shift for Vitti Logistics, away from visibility technology and toward GPS-based tracking, powered by major Mexican telematics companies, such as Grupo DECA, Ubic, Venit, SOS GPS, Pointer and others, FourKites said.
Since its founding in 2014, Chicago-based FourKites said it “has been rapidly displacing existing visibility platforms through its technologically differentiated predictive platform, which calculates shipment arrival times based on GPS satellite tracking data updated every 15 minutes, as opposed to the less precise cell phone tower triangulation method that incumbent visibility providers rely on.”
“We are closing the technology gap left by existing visibility solutions, making it possible for any company, no matter the size or location, to reinvigorate their business with real-time data in order to make educated decisions about their supply chain,” FourKites Founder and CEO Matt Elenjickal said.
