J.B. Hunt brings PeopleNet on board

PeopleNet, a provider of onboard computing and mobile communications systems for fleet management, said trucking company J.B. Hunt Transport Services has picked it for fleet-wide EOBR (electronic onboard recorder) and onboard computing needs.
“PeopleNet will help us more easily comply with regulations and advance our commitment to safely sharing the roads with the public,” said Greer Woodruff, senior vice president of safety and security at J.B. Hunt, in a statement.
PeopleNet BLU.2 onboard computers have been installed in more than 2,300 J.B. Hunt trucks to date. All new trucks purchased by J.B. Hunt are fully equipped for the PeopleNet installation through factory pre-wiring and are activated prior to deployment to J.B. Hunt’s network, the company said.
