Troy expands import operation

Non-vessel-operating common carrier Troy Container Line has expanded its Charlotte, N.C.-based import operation by moving to a larger office in the port city.
“The new office provides additional space for the company’s expanding staff, while creating an efficient and service-driven headquarters for the company’s import division,” the company said.
Based in Red Bank, N.J., the NVO opened its Charlotte office in 2008. The office has been led by Christopher Hellow, chief operating officer of imports. In addition, Troy has added five staff to the Charlotte office in the last three months, including three customer service representatives, a dispatcher and import coordinator.
Troy now offers 26 direct consolidation services covering more than 500 points worldwide. In addition to its recent increase in staff at the Charlotte office, Troy has expanded import services to include points of origin in Spain and South America.
