Cargo volumes at Hong Kong International Airport totaled 4.38 million tons in 2015, a 0.1 percent increase from the prior year.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) handled 4.38 million tons of cargo in 2015, a 0.1 percent increase from 2014.
In December alone, the airport’s cargo throughput reached 391,000 tons, a 1 percent increase year-over-year. The slight increase resulted from export volumes inching up 2 percent year-over-year in December.
Looking ahead, HKIA expects only mild growth in cargo volumes due to global economic uncertainties.
