Non-vessel-operating common carrier CaroTrans has added container freight stations at Cincinnati and Indianapolis.
The CFSs join its others located in Chicago; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; and Detroit. “Local market proximity to CFS reduces inland transportation costs and cargo handling for greater cost savings and security,” the NVO said in a statement.
Andrew Weisse, CaroTrans’ branch manager in Chicago, will oversee the Indianapolis receiving station, while Maggie Piktel, Cleveland branch manager, will manage the Cincinnati CFS.
CaroTrans’ U.S. network currently includes 14 offices and 23 CFSs.
