The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 12 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 12 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier license application from Golden Arcus Int’l Co., South El Monte, Calif. (Yu Zhou, president).
The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Makati Express Cargo, Jersey City, N.J. (Harizza J. Sarayba, member); and MOCO International Network, Issaquah, Wash. (Peter R. Moe, president).
The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from All Bahamas Freight Forwarding, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Cyrstal J. Lowe, director); and Alpha Shipping, Des Plaines, Ill. (Muhammad Arfeen Anwar, president).
In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Alpine Express Corp., Inglewood, Calif. (Betty Lim, president); HLT (U.S.A.), New York, N.Y. (Hiroyuki Mizuno, vice president); Landstar Express America, Jacksonville, Fla. (Alberto Maldonado, vice president); and Paramount Transportation Logistics Services, Fort Myers, Fla. (Jessenia M. Olivera, vice president of maritime operations); for a business structure change to Schwartz Forwarding Co., LLC from Schwartz Forwarding Co., Inc., New Orleans, La. (Tina Brown, assistant manager); for a transfer to Simpson’s Shipping Enterprise LLC from Simpson’s Shipping Enterprise, Mt. Vernon, N.Y. (George A. Simpson, member); and the addition of trade name Masterpiece International from Somerset Marine Lines, Cranford, N.J. (Abed Medawar, president).

Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) – both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs – are also available on the FMC website.
