Menlo adds RFID service
Menlo Worldwide said it is introducing customized radio frequency identification (RFID) services that will enable companies to comply with government and retail industry RFID requirements.
The services will equip cases, cartons or pallets, as well as shipping/receiving operations, warehouses and full factories, with RFID technology.
Menlo Worldwide’s “supply chain technologists and logistics engineers” have spent the last 12 months working with customers and technology partners investigating RFID technologies and associated processes, the company said. The goal is identifying and developing RFID “solutions” that will increase supply chain performance and reduce supply chain costs, it added.
RFID is widely seen as future successor of the bar code system.
