Manhattan Associates integrates warehouse and transportation systems
Manhattan Associates, Inc. announced that it has integrated its Transportation Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
The integration allows the system provider to offer customers end-to-end supply chain execution capability in one system, and handle warehouse and transportation from sourcing to consumption.
Manhattan Associates said that the integrated system synchronizes the communication between the Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems suites to increase collaboration between the systems. This increases “overall execution efficiency and visibility” and enables optimization between the two technologies, the company said.
“This integrated environment increases productivity by creating a real-time execution environment that synchronizes warehouse and transportation information while providing one, unified integration point to enterprise resource planning systems,” Manhattan Associates said.
The integration of the two systems was completed in seven months, and marks the culmination of Manhattan Associates’ acquisition of Logistics.com in December 2002.
