FMC reviews 21 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 21 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 21 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Idlewild Shipping Co., Ozone Park, N.Y. (Mohammad T. Haq, member); and Triton Logistics, Miami (Modesto Gil, president).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from APX Worldwide, Miami (Andres Guerra-Mondragon, vice president); B&G Futures, Canton, Ohio (Robert Jay Waakles, secretary); BSL Networks, Carson, Calif. (Kim Kirk, chief executive officer); Go4One Logistics, Edison, N.J. (Kim Pinnella, senior director); Heizwerthy Customs & Freight Solutions, Decatur, Ga. (Latoria D. Harris, president); Logistics Outlet, Bloomingdale, Ill. (Sohrab Yousaf Khan, member); and Skyfer Logistics USA, East Brunswick, N.J. (Priyantha Ragith Abeygoonewardene, vice president).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Global Trading Shipping & Logistics Corp., Houston (Antonia Vasquez Trevino, vice president); and Vanuden Transit World Services U.S.A., Columbus, Ohio (Oko Agyemang Boakye, member).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Airtruk/Seatruk, Jamaica, N.Y. (Richard Tilford, secretary); ASI U.S., Gardena, Calif. (Qiuheng Beth Liao, general manager); Chavez, Bogdanski and Cincinello International, Bloomingdale, Ill. (Jeremy Piepenbrink, vice president); FNS, Torrance, Calif. (Young Min Cho, chief executive officer); Janel Group, Lynbrook, N.Y. (Sean F. McClung, vice president); Nippon Express U.S.A., Des Plaines, Ill. (Koji Kominami, president); Nippon Express U.S.A., Long Island City, N.Y. (Koji Kominami, vice president); Shine Express, Los Angeles (Gerald L. Jones, branch manager); and Star Cluster USA Corp., Duluth, Ga. (Hyung Kim, vice president); and for a name change to Fatton Logistics from Transports P. Fatton, Rosedale, N.Y. (Renaud Mellier, treasurer).
   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) – both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs – are also available on the FMC website.
