Mary Thien Hoang, chief of staff for Federal Maritime Commission Chairman Mario Cordero, has been appointed to the agency’s senior executive service. She has served as the chairman’s chief of staff since April of 2013 and will remain in that position.
Hoang joined the commission in 2005 as an attorney-advisor in the Bureau of Enforcement. During her tenure at the FMC she has also served as special assistant to the director of the Bureau of Certification and Licensing and as attorney-advisor in the Office of the General Counsel.
