ATA promotes four long-time staffers and hires new vice president of creative services and new director of marketing, while Xeneta appoints director of value engineering, and SmartTruck names vice president of sales and marketing.

   The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has promoted four long-time staffers and hired a new vice president of creative services and creative director, as well as a new director of marketing.
   John Lynch was promoted to senior vice president of federation relations and industry affairs, Henry Hanscom was named vice president of legislative affairs, Joe Hite was named new vice president of business development, and Dan Duggan was named director of sponsorships and exhibits.
   In addition, ATA has hired Tim Smith as vice president of creative services and creative director and Julia Grove as director of marketing.

   Ocean freight rate benchmarking and market intelligence platform Xeneta has appointed Michael Braun director of value engineering and head of the company’s advisor department.
   Braun joins Xeneta after 10 years with TIM Consult, where he held the position of project and community manager of ocean freight.

   SmartTruck, a provider of fuel-saving trailer aerodynamics for the trucking industry, has named John Brown vice president of sales and marketing.
