Janel Group, Inc. names new president, while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District appoints new commander.
Janel Group, Inc. has named Karen Kenney as president, taking over from Brendan Killackey, who will become CEO of Janel Group’s parent holding company. Kenney joined Janel Group through the company’s 2015 acquisition of Liberty International, Inc., where she rose to chief operating officer over a 30-year career. In addition to leading the integration of Liberty into Janel Group, Kenney served the combined company’s senior management team as vice president of global partnerships.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District is appointing Lt. Col. Jeffrey Palazzini as its new commander on Friday, replacing Lt. Col. Matthew Luzzatto, whose new assignment will be at the U.S. Army War College. Palazzini is joining the Charleston District as the 87th commander and district engineer from his assignment as the deputy commander at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District.
