EC TO INVESTIGATE KLM/MARTINAIR DEAL
The European Commission will open a full investigation into KLM’s
proposed acquisition of fellow Dutch airline Martinair.
KLM aims to purchase the 50-percent stake in Martinair that
it
doesn’t already own.
The EC said that the acquisition of the Dutch charter
airline may
raise serious competition concerns.
