FMC reviews 10 OTI license applications

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 10 license applications and changes for review.

   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Balkans Air Corp., Brooklyn, N.Y. (Begator Hila, president); Beyond Shipping, Diamond Bar, Calif. (Yilin Yang, president); and Caicos Caribbean Lines, Medley, Fla. (Joanne Tyson, president).

   The agency received NVO-ocean freight forwarder license applications from JDB International, Bensenville, Ill. (Dale Jordon, director); Oceanic Link USA, Norcross, Ga. (Mohsinul Haque, chief executive officer); The Shaker Group, Latham, N.Y. (Geoffrey A. Pappas, president); and The Ultimate Logistics Service Corp., Pine Brook, N.J. (Michael K. Cheng, president).

   The FMC also received an ocean freight forwarder license application from K&S Freight Systems, Miami (Nelson Solano, president).

   In addition, the agency received applications for a license transfer from Cargonet Logistics Corp., Lakewood, Calif. (Tan Sek, president); and Compass Freight Forwarding, Oakland, Calif. (Ylma E. Searle, vice president).
