BIS annual conference next week

Sanctions, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. and Section 232 will be among the topics covered.

   The Bureau of Industry and Security will hold its annual conference in Washington, D.C., Tuesday through Thursday.
   Sessions will cover topics including sanctions, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S., State Department export control regulations, Section 232 tariffs, emerging and foundational technologies, deemed exports and routed transactions.
   Tuesday and Wednesday lunch keynotes will be given, respectively, by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross (pictured above) and Commerce Assistant Secretary for Industry and Analysis Nazak Nikakhtar, who is performing the nonexclusive duties of the commerce undersecretary of industry and security.
   The conference is at capacity, but individuals interested in attending can provide their information here to put themselves on the wait list.
